Personality:

From an outsider’s point of view, it can be noted that Rinoa initially grew up in a high social class with a rich lifestyle if the mansion she lived in was any indication. Overall, her early childhood could be considered quite a happy one up until a car accident stole her mother away, leaving her with only her strict father as a parent growing up. It was this incident that truly pushed Rinoa down a rocky path with her father, causing various arguments, and bringing out a more rebellious side that wished to fight the authority of her father as well as the authority of others. It could be considered this rebellious side of her that pushed her to join a group of rebels known as the Timber Owls and attempt to lead them in their independence against Galbadia. For her, this was a rebellion not just against Galbadia, but also her father’s militaristic and strict rules.

Despite the part of her searching to rebel though, there was a large part of her that truly did merely want to help. A side of her that has great kindness and compassion, and felt a need to do what’s right, even if her ways of going about trying could come off naïve and childish. As an example, allow me to bring up that the first time she is met, not as a girl, but as a resistance leader by the main party, she has a meeting with her fellow resistance members huddled in a circle on the floor showing off that naiveté. As the story continues on however, you begin to see even more to Rinoa. She wants to do what’s right, and can often see the good in people that others can’t see, even Squall and Seifer, and is the one who begins to finally pull Squall from his shell with her stubborn and pushy demeanor. Even when he would try and separate himself, she would push to find her way in and get through to him.

She can often be a friendly, energetic sort of person despite a childhood that seemed to be filled with loneliness after her mother’s death, but though she can be naïve in her actions, she does have a serious side and does honestly want to aid others in their plights.

Outwardly, she often joins the gang in their fun antics, and can be quite the socialite with them and so it isn’t until later that you see that Rinoa does have a side of her that gets scared. Scared of losing others, scared of being a sorceress, scared of the unknown. Despite this fear, she manages to stand as equally with the mercenaries as someone with no real proper combat training can, and still chose to give herself up to be sealed away because she merely didn’t want to hurt anyone.

As a sorceress, Rinoa has held many fears and doubts, and so she tends to lean on the people she cares about in order to remain grounded, and wants to prove that sorceresses aren’t all bad even if she doesn’t know herself what’s in store for her future. She fears what may happen to her as a sorceress and fears that she may end up becoming as corrupt as other sorceresses' had, but wants so hard to try and fight that with everything she has and remain herself.

Powers/Abilities:
Rinoa's primary abilities are all types of magic. However, due to her status as a sorceress, the magic she casts is much more powerful then it would normally be. Magics include Life magic such as Cure, and Death. Status magic such as Sleep. Elemental magic such as fire, water, blizzard, and thunder, as well as their upgrades, and Misc. Magic, such as Haste, and Ultima. Rinoa's weapon is the called the Blaster Edge, it's a bladed ring attached to her wrist that seems to work just like a boomerang. Her secondary weapon is also her dog, Angelo, who helps her in many different ways such as charging enemies and healing Rinoa. She has an ability known as Angel Wing, allowing her to cast spells with greatly increased power due to her being a sorceress. Another ability is that she is able to summon Guardian Forces as long as they are juctioned.

I bet you want to go out for a good walk, right? Maybe we'll have to drag a certain commander along? What do you think? I think it's a fun idea. We've got to get him out a little bit I think. He spends way too much time working and not enough time having some fun.

[With all that said, she smirked at Angelo, talking to her as if she were speaking with a person, but then again, the dog had been her best friend for such a long time. She stood and headed towards the door.]
